CM Yogi to Chair High-Level Law and Order Review Meeting Today

Lucknow: Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath will chair a high-level review meeting on law and order in Uttar Pradesh tonight at 9 PM from the Chief Minister’s residence in Lucknow. The meeting will be conducted through video conferencing and will bring together senior administrative and police officials from across the state.

The review comes at a crucial time as the state administration gears up for several important events, including International Yoga Day, Muharram, and the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET). The Chief Minister is expected to assess security arrangements, crowd management plans, and overall administrative preparedness to ensure the smooth conduct of these events.

According to officials, all Divisional Commissioners, District Magistrates, Police Commissioners, Additional Directors General (ADGs), Inspectors General (IGs), Deputy Inspectors General (DIGs), and district police chiefs will participate in the meeting virtually. Senior officials stationed in Lucknow, including the Additional Chief Secretary (Home) and the Director General of Police (DGP), will attend the meeting in person.

Apart from law enforcement agencies, senior representatives from several key departments have also been directed to join the review. These include the Urban Development Department, Panchayati Raj Department, Public Works Department (PWD), Energy Department, Agriculture Department, Forest Department, Tourism Department, AYUSH Department, Transport Department, Food and Civil Supplies Department, and the Education Department.

Municipal Commissioners and Chief Medical Officers from various districts will also participate, reflecting the government’s emphasis on a coordinated administrative response involving multiple departments.

Officials said the primary objective of the meeting is to further strengthen the state’s law and order framework and ensure that all necessary security and administrative measures are in place ahead of upcoming public events and examinations. The Chief Minister is likely to issue detailed directives to district administrations and police authorities regarding vigilance, public safety, traffic management, and emergency preparedness.

The review meeting underscores the Uttar Pradesh government’s focus on maintaining peace, ensuring public safety, and enhancing coordination among departments to effectively manage large-scale events and sensitive occasions across the state.
